Wheel question

Can someone help me.......Will 12mm factory Ford wheels fit on 14mm studs. This may seem silly, but I've seen conflicting info. Someone said you must drill the stud hole out, while another said he has put 12mm hole wheels ('99 style)on his newer L (14mm), a tight fit, but no drilling was required...has anyone done this? Thanks!

i have 00 wheels on my 04 and i have no problem with them

Thanks b4...do you know if your '00 wheels were 12 or 14mm? From what I've heard, Ford switched to 14mm in mid year 2000.
