whats your Tire size's??

im lookin to get me some new tires, just wondering what most of you are running on your focus.

ive got stock rims, thinkin about going with a 225/40/17... should be enuff room in the wells to fit that. make it look a lil more stocky lookin with a wider tire, not to mention hella grip in turns

I would not go any bigger than 215 on the stockers..you are saying you want "hella grip"...stick with a tire size that is not too big for the wheel and that will fit it properly. JMO.:thumbsup:

the only difference is the width of the tire..its only right at about 3/8" wider if that, and the side wall is lower also. so i doubt it would rub or anything. i just think a wider tire would look beefier. i could roll the fenders a little to stop that anyhow. thats the easy part. finding a tire and tread pattern i like is the hard part!

was that on stock ride hieght and suspension as well? thats what im gonna be workin with. all SVT equipment

I get a lot of rubbing. Would like to go 40 profile with 225 for a wider look. Would 40 help that much with rubbing? And which company offers nice 225/40R17 tires. I ride on General UHP and I don't think they have them, have to jump to 235 is that too wide? Also does 225 fit stock rim nicely?
