Whats wrong?

My cars rpm`s drop to 500 or lower when my fan comes on. The fuse for the fan has blown twice and it was 3 months apart. When the fuse goes the fan dosent work so it causes my car to quickly overheat at random times. The first time i had my a/c on but the second time my car was just at idle. Does anyone know whats wrong?

Thanks, im just trying to finish any little problems with my car before i go away to college
