The stock driveshaft, or a FRPP Aluminum one?
I just want to make sure the FRPP one will clear my d/s loop because right now with the stock d/s it is a tight fit with just enough room for it to move around under heavy load.

I looked on the web to try and help you out, but all i could find was the diameter of the driveshaft in the FR500 is 3.5 inches. I also found on another site that a guy had an FRPP aluminum driveshaft and it was 3.5 inches. Not sure if it helps, but I dont have an FRPP driveshaft so i can't help much.

Yeah the FRPP is 3.5. I found out the stock one is 3. However I am keeping the stocker due to the weaker aluminum d/s. The shaft itself is strong, but the ears around the U joint are weaker then the stock, and I saw 3 buddies snap theirs this weekend at the same spot.

Rip the ears off? Or just stress cracks? Either way that sounds like a weakness in the design, or serious power and sticky tire :)
