Hey guys I need some help. Running a high boost e85 WHIPPLE stroker cobra and needing a good weekend warrior tire for it. I know with a 1k plus I'm not gonna hook up to much anyways but it's never gonna see the track. Just late night high way runs. Maybe a few dig runs but that's it. I don't wanna change my 17in replicas on it. I already have the 10.5s in back. And I'm ready to get me a nice set of tires since my build is almost done. Just wanna know what's working for the guys out there. Names Cody. Thanks guys. Maybe some pics in there two. !!!

nothing on a 17 is going to work with that power. You need a 15 inch slick or at the very least a et street pro. If you're set on your 17's the only tire that'll make it interesting on the highway imo would be the 325/45/17 m&h radials as long as you can fit them.

Agreed with the M&H 325/45. As long as you can clear a 28" rear tire

That is the only 17" tire I have ever had luck with. The hoosier 335/35/17s are pretty good as well, but they are less than 26" tall and need a wider wheel than the 10.5 to have all the tread on the ground.

I'm probably going with ET's or maybe R888s but I won't have the torque you do.

See I like the r888s to cuz they are good quality and they are a good looking tire. My car isn't just a race car. It's a show car as well so I just have mixed feelings all around. Those twins look sick tho man!

Hoosier 28x10x17 Drag Slick. put those on your oem 9'' 5 spoke rim
or
335/35/17 drag radial
or
the 325/17 m&h.

I just got a pair of 305/45-17 M/T ET Street R's. Haven't had a chance to test yet.

You are going to need a 28" tire and proper gearing to have any type of hope at all. But if you are truly making 1k its going to be very difficult bringing all that TQ in all at once. If you had a turbo car it would be much much easier due to boost control etc etc.

I would not recommend a 335/35-17. That is WAY to small of a tire. Yes its wide, but no sidewall. Sidewall is what is going to help. The R888s are decent but for that type of power, absolutely not.

I have always been a fan of the M&H DRs. Best street DR I have ever ran. I ran the 325/40-18s. On my 9 second 140+ MPH pump gas tune on the street my car was a rocket wih no traction issues. However I also had an Auto.
