What to look for?

I am looking at picking up a 2000 Lightning.
What do I want to look out for? Weak points.
Truck has 40,000 miles on it, not garage keep but, clean.

I have a '03 marauder:-D just need the truck:rockon:

Ensure the intercooler replacement was performed. There was a leak problem with the 1999 and 2000 year models.

Go to your local dealer and have them run an Oasis report on it. That will tell you if all the technical service bulletins(recalls) have been done.

check to make sure those spark plugs are in tight!

Thanks for the response so far I have looked at two '99 today one black and one white, the owners really did not know much about the truck?

congrats on the new ride.. make sure you do a lot of reading before you start modding.

I'm sure you'll be very happy. Be sure to keep and eye on your plugs, they have a tendency to work loose. I haven't had that problem but some do. I check mine 2-3 times a year, but I don't drive mine much. Read and search alot, every question you think of has been covered.
