Just wondering if there are any areas specific to 96-98 Cobras that I should pay close attentino to. Also with some of the higher milage cars (80-100K) should I be concerned with this? I am unfamiliar with the 4.6L and would like to know if there are any issues that are known.

Thanks all.

The tranny is about the only thing that's unreliable in these cars. Do a couple 7000rpm balsts to make sure the synchro's are in good shape. Other than that drive it and make sure it's not making any weird noises.

You should also feel a good increase in pull around 4k rpm. If you don't feel it (it's fairly obvious) then the imrc's are gummed up and need to be cleaned. Not hard but does affect performance.

Ditto. ^^^

Definitely make sure the tranny is in good shape with high rpm shifts, especially on the 1-2 shift as the 1-2 syncro is the one that is usually the first to fail. Besides that, these cars seem to be fairly solid.
