I have a F150 EXT Supercab with the Lariats 18" rims and 265/60/R18 tires. Due to fact that I'm already running a spare in the back and found a nail in one of my front tires I'm in the market for some new rubber. I want something that looks a little more aggressive and lasts just as long as or longer than the stockers (25,000 miles). I don’t know how wide the rim is but I wanted to go with something a little wider if possible. Is a 275/55/R18 from one brand going to sit on the rim the same as a 275/55/R18 from another? Can I use something wider or should I stay with the stock 265/60/R18?

Thanks in advance:-D

18x7-1/2 is the stock size. I had an 04 FX4 same size wheels and tires. I thought they were 275-60-r18. anyways, a friend of mine had the same truck, stock wheels and put 315-70 or 75 R18 Toyos on there. He also had the front lift kit on it. The truck looks great, but the tires wore out very fast. I personally would keep the stock tire size. My BFG that came on the truck worked awesome and we had a long winter with lots of snow that year. Nothing stopped me.
