I'm not liking the stock leather shifter knob in my '04 Cobra, and want to replace it with a Hurst six speed ball in either white or black. But I've only seen the Hurst 6 speed ball advertised for Vettes and Camaro/Firebirds with a thread size of 16mm x 1.50.
Is this the same thread size as the stock Cobra?

Thanks,
bob

The knob for the GM shifter will not fit the Ford shifter. Believe me, I went through hell getting one on my '03 many moons ago. I was determined to get that knob on my '03 and had to make new rod for my MGW handle with the 16x1.5 thread that GM uses. Ford uses a 12x1.75 thread.

You should check with Hurst as I've heard they now make the knob with Ford threads.

Here's a link to mine-->Hurst Knob

EDIT: Corrected Photo Link.
