ok i got a vortech sq for my car with an after cooler. im am goin to be putting it on soon. i was either thinking of running it just how it is now, but im afriad im goin to blow it up somtime nd i wont have to money to fix it rite away. the other thing i was thinking was buying an under drive crank pulley to give me less boost but short runner my intake to give me a little extra hp until i get a built block. THIS CAR IS ALSO ALMOST DRIVEN DAILY!!

how much psi would it drop with an under drive crank?

which do u think is the best way??? i want safety of the engine but also good power

Install the supercharger, then put on a larger pulley on the supercharger. Keep the boost low, I say around 5-6 psi to be extra safe. Most power and the safest do not go together. By adding 5-6 psi you should get around 75 hp or so.

Make sure the car gets a good dyno tune, whatever you do.
