Another option that IMO looks much more period correct are these mkII VW Jetta GLI Recaro seats. They can be found for around $200-$500 depending on condition replacement parts are available as well. The color is close to opal and the other grey color. With a wedge eng lowered seat base they are far enough down and back for me (6'5").
