I'm getting tuned next week at a local shop. My car has flowmaster on it "was on it when purchased" and I've got a jlt rai to install. I've already picked up a steeda 2.93 pulley product number 555-3333 at steeda.com. I'm just wondering if that is the right choice pulley to go with or should I have gone with the 2.81. Someone please chime in

I have a Billet flow 2.93 on mine. I bought the quick change hub,3.65(or what ever the hell the stock size is), and also a 2.76. Bought them so I could switch from stock to street 2.93, to race 2.76. Tunner will hold a tune for each of them. Havent had the 2.76 tuned yet.

The 2.93 is good and makes great power but if u are like me and most it will soon not be enough.

If I had to choose from a 2.93 or a 2.8 I def would go the 2.8 route.

With those modifications, you're wasting your time and $$$ on a dyno. That is easily something an experienced mail-order tuner like Rick @ ATS could help you with, and have better results to boot than some 'local shop' that does all sorts of cars and has seen a handful of 03-04 Cobras.

Sorry, trying to save the guy a $500 dyno fee that's going to do nothing for him, some driveability issues that are going to make him hate/sell his car, and possibly a blown motor.

My bad.

At least if you're going to get it dyno'd, get it to a recognized Mustang specialist, someone who does nothing but work on Modulars day and night, not some random shop that has a R35, a turbo Honda, a Supra, and a LS1 camaro sitting outside.

It really depends on the car. I hear the MAF is the first thing and then most of us run a BAP if need be. YOu can get a new MAFia for like $160.00 it think... I think I saw two slightly ised MAFia's in the market section.

With no other mods as far as port/lower/nitrous goes, a 2.8 is not going to extend past the stock MAF or fuel system's capabilities.

If it does, you have one hell of a factory freak on your hands.

Thank you. I will order the 2.8 tomorrow. I know I will want more power in a month if I go with the larger one.
