What pads should I use to polish stainless? It's for a stainless dump body on my new 550. I have a porter cable with the big and small pads. Or would a ball on a drill be better to get in the small areas? What polish works good also?

Find the thread on polishing your exhaust, that may be more helpful to you. I assume you have a satin-type finish now or is it already polished and just oxidized? If it's just oxidized, Mother's or White Diamond will do what you need. You could hit it with an orange or white pad to speed up the process. If it's a full polish you need, then use the sanding techniques in the exhaust thread.

Finally getting around to doing this. I have a 3.5" Lake Country backing plate. What Lake Country pads will work? Did a quick search and didn't find ones for polishing metal or stainless.
