First oil change on my 2014 GT premium. Went to the parts house and book calls for a Motorcraft FL500s. Gohome and pull the factory filter. Its the same diameter but about 1 inch longer. What do I have?? It says Motorcraft but no #'s. Its not an FL820 by the way. The 820 is shorter and larger in diameter. Thanks for your help.

A 500 filter is correct, you could also use a 820 filter (gt500 and boss use this) it's the same thread just slightly larger.
The original oil filter says fomoco and that's how it comes from the factory, the first oil change is when the 500 would be put on. No number on the original.

Yup. I use it on my car, the 820 and the 500 have the same threads. Different diameter and case. If you want the recommended filter it's the 500, but the 820 will also work and it's a larger filter as you can see.
