What noise, if any, should an eaton make?

Hey all,

I got a potted eaton today. It's not mine, picked it up second hand. Clean as can be, really no carbon in it.

When I spin the rotors back and forth, I hear a little clunk. Noting wobbles, the gears are solid, can't see anything move except for the rotors spinning. Any thoughts? Is this normal? It's primarily if I change the direction in which they're spinning that it happens. if I had to guess, it sounds like its coming from the back of the housing.

Let me know your thoughts, thanks!

Your fine,it's a eaton not a swiss watch, Just make sure to check or fill the oil in the gear drive, the allen plug on the front below SVT

If you spin in reverse and the rotors hit it doesn't matter.

If you spin it clockwise and you hear some tapping chances are that it will still be fine. When the blower is spinning on the car it should create the proper clearance it needs.
