They play oldies on the stereo where I work so I hear em all.

My favorite is that song "Won't need no lights no we don't, were gonna make our own lightning, She got the way to move me Sherri baby."

A close second is the Beach Boys Good Vibrations.

Georgia, Hit the Road Jack, Stand By Me, I Heard it Through the Grapevine...a lot of old R&B stuff. Also Layla (sp?) and La Bamba are good too.

"Roller derby queen" by Jim Croce always makes me smile.

The line "built like fridgerator with a head" just cracks me the hell up. I always think of that whenever I see a huge woman or a nasty buttertroll.

Come to think of it, pretty much anything by Jim Croce makes me smile.

I always liked "Come dancing" by the Kinks too.

Elton John- Tiny Dancer
Kee Kee Dee- Ive Got the Music in Me
Beach Boys- Feel Flows

I have been listening to a lot of classics lately to get a perspective on arrangements, recording quality, etc. Truthfully nothing nowadays is even close in production value.
