 Wow, it's pressed on WAY too far, like 1/3 inch too far, damn. I'd imagine it would chew up belts like crazy, if they were even able to get over the pulley/sit in the grooves. Looks like the outer edge of the pulley is all dinged up too. That thing is just all f'ed up. Who did that?

*EDIT* Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's on backwards, damn!

the pulley may be on backwards. The wrong tool was definately used to press the pulley on too far. It should be pressed on flush with the shaft.

I'm sorry to say, but whats wrong is someone didn't know what they were doing.

Looks like whoever was installing the pulley was installing it backwards and kept pushing it on until the belts line up, except it was way too late by then.

On the plus side, it can be fixed fairly easily if the shaft wasn't hammered on too, during the attempted install.

Just turn it around. You still should be able to get it off. But putting it back on would be the interesting part.

let me also add that the stud on the tool used to install this was broke off in the blower shaft and all attempts to remove the stud have failed...

discuss

Why dont u get a gun and shoot urself, i would have already resorted to this. My best advice would be to get a pulley puller like from Auto Zone with the big center press, that doesnt go in it, with the big hooks and it should pull it out.

Well,it's my car, and I'm not too thrilled about it right now.
I also didn't do this, I bought a motor/tranny/ other accessories off the kid.

They did it to the blower, and aren't wanting to get me a new blower...or fix the problem, yet.
I'm giving him all the oppurtunity to make this right before I post his name, and he is on this board:thumbsup:
