What is this crap on my vert top?

I'll try and take some pics when I have time... but I have stuff on my vert top that makes it look worn and dirty. I've tried conventional scrubbing but haven't gone past that attempt, so I'm looking for some ideas and suggestions.

There are some spots that look like small "oil" spots, or as if something very hot was placed on the top for a few seconds. Other spots seem like "scuff" marks.

I know that there will be folds in the top from going up and down, but these spots are different. I'm unsure how to try and clean them up if possible.

hard to diagnose without seeing it.........

try a product like ragg top to clean it up a bit and see what happens..hopefully no permanent damage was done

I've used ragg top and its always worked great.

OP if they appear to be 'oil' looking spots, they may not be removable.
