This is K&N Part number: 57-2545 FIPK

They look like they would do the samething but one is $70 cheaper.

Looks like rpmoutlet is offering a home made heat shield along with a K&N filter. The filter is not the same one that's in the FIPK from K&N. The end is not made of metal.

I just installed the FIPK. It appears from your pix that the rpmoutlet kit is missing the two mounting points that K&N includes (one to the fender and one to the radiator corner). I'd also be concerned about the integrity of the filter mount adaptor. It may not be a tight seal.

Just my .02

The one from rpmoutlet doesn't have the infamous donut neither. The donut seems to be the magic behind the FIPK.

The cheaper one has no provision for holding the filter/MAF assembly in place.

Shouldn't the 4 bolts that attach to the Mass Air be enough? Maybe the picture is missing some parts.

what is the part number for the drop-in K&N filter. A pic is greatly appreciated. I went to a local store, there are tons of K&Ns.
