Guess it depends on how hard you daily drive your car. If you're boosting it like crazy, I'd look into some cooling upgrades before pullying it. I'm going 2.93 as a middle of the road pulley to get me to 450hp.

Regardless, there are guys DD'ing 2.76 uppers without any trouble.

Hell just pick one from 2.93 to 2.76 or 2.93/4lb., 2.93/2lb. 2.80/2lb., any are safe as long as you have a conservative tune!

I went with the 2.93, until I do some fuel upgrades and cooling mods ,then the 4lb lower unless I win the Whipple!:-D

Heat Exchanger, head cooling mod., expansion tank, other than that I'm drawing a blank. With just the 2.93 you shouldn't have to worry much though but regardless you need to do the head cooling mod! Oh yeah Lethal Performance carries everything you need!

Don't go less than a 2.76. Trust me. I beat the shit out of mine with that setup no problems. IMO if I would have stayed with just the pulley and stayed away from high speed runs and nitrous the engine would have lasted 100k miles no problem.

Safety is more a factor of the tune rather than pulley size

Exactly Doug.

I'm making over 600rwhp on pump gas and I have been for a long time
now. Run whatever pulley you feel like. Make as much power as you want.
Just be sure that the tune is right.
