In July I purchased a sign business. The previous owner was a packrat and among lots of other junk I found these three items pictured below. I have no idea what they are and can't find any info about them. Two of the items are identical. They have stainless frames. There is an electric motor in the middle and a "turbine" on each end. They have a gauge in the middle of the front panels and a few controls. The third item has an aluminum frame, motor, and turbines It has no switches or gauges. I can find the gauges on ebay(not worth much) but I can find anything that resembles the whole thing. Anybody have any idea what they are? Are they worth anything?

All 3 items stacked

Its a machine used to measure water pressure. Probably worth anywhere around 350 I would guess.

Its a analog penis measuring device. They were discontinued in the 60's because they let off too much radiation. lol

do you not know how to use GOOGLE? you do know that you can use it to search for information right ?

there is at least one on ebay maybe more I cant get to ebay to check them out

Viking controls inc. sells them

I mean I was truely amazed at the power of google when you do a search for
"dwyer photohelic 3300"

there are no less than 178 hits and some of them look like operators manuals.

I don't think he's asking about the gauge alone. I believe he wants to know what the ENTIRE MACHINE does.

im pretty sure that dwyer photohelic is just the name of the gauge, not the peice of equipment.

OP, Magnahelics and Photohelic gauges are often used in HVAC and in labratories and clean-rooms. They can measure the minute differences in room pressurizations to maintain a positive or negative pressure within an area.

id assume it controlled something that needed a specific amount of air. the two red markers oinside those gauges are manually set by opening the case, and they signify the pressure minumum and maximum required for whatever they were pressurizing. maybe something that wasnt suppose to be near rust, to contaminate it, which is why they might be made of stainless?? could also have been an exhaust for another peice of equipment. looks like the way it would sit, is the photo gauge facing skyward. i wonder if it was on rollers before, it has bumpstops on the frames.
