I want to change the gears in my 04 Cobra. What gears are the best?

500rwhp and Torque is not going to go well together with 4.10's.

390s would be fine imo
good question. i have another cobra rearend i got from a freind that was replaced under warrenty for a pinion seal leak. i am trying to decide witch gears to go with. i want to hit low 12s with no chip or pulley. do they make a 3.90 gear ratio for our rear ends. i voted for 3.73.
When your car is dynoed and if its a fast 1320 your after we can figure out (VERY CLOSELY) what ratio is needed to get you over the line maxxing out in 4th gear.Some will tune to max in 3rd and they usualy have lower ET's but trap speed is adversly affected.
On the latest rendition of a Cobra bodied Drag car,we stripped it down to 4:11's almost perfect but we can slice 2/10th'S (approx.) off ous ET.
We are shooting for hi 7's/low 8's.Wish us luck with our new 3:90's and you can join us for a drink of bubbley(soda pop bubles)
