What exactly is E85? lol

And why are so many of the performance guys switching to it rather then methanol/race gas? I don't get it.

I know there is a reason, and definitely am not bashing, I'm just highly interested in knowing why!

Pump gas availability (where available lol) with race gas results.

Gotta inject more to maintain proper combustion ratio though, so using it in a non performance application is moot in cost/mileage.
