I managed to get the convertible top weatherstrip and A pillar weatherstrip installed. I'm not very happy with how the A pillar weatherstrip turned out. Such a dumb design. I'll probably try a different tactic and redo it. Might even buy a different set/brand to test out.

It's been a pain trying to adjust the window so the door closes correctly and the window seals perfect around the weatherstrip. Only time the windows would be completely up is to wash it...

It probably doesn't help that my rear quarter windows likely have something broken. The passenger one barely goes up and it's very loose.

I was going to wait until next winter for fixing this with the kit linked below. A that time I may repaint interior pieces.

I'm going to give it a shot myself first and see what I can do. I know enough to be dangerous.

I have someone who can remote tune if needed.
I did mine on my old setup with the MS2PNP and it wasn't that bad... getting the timing set right was the biggest challenge I think.

I've been thinking about doing this or a terminator x but that kit has gone up like crazy I think now it's like 2300 bucks. My car drives great but sometimes it'll search for an idle after driving and restarting it.
My Fox pops and sputters when cold and runs perfectly once it gets up to operating temperature.

I'm thinking about getting a new ECU set up. I like the plug and play option of the mega squirt, but I'm more familiar with the Terminator X since I have that set up in my 65.

I also like the dual sync distributor system with Holley. This allows the computer to control the timing. Obviously the Terminator X is much more expensive and will require me to redo the harness, but it might be worth it in my case.

Hello Everyone,

Got some work done on the Fox Body this weekend. I do not consider this a paint correction as the paint is already in great shape, but did have a few marks that needed some attention.

So, I will say I did a thorough polish of the paint this weekend and then applied a ceramic coating utilizing the Armor Shield IX that I used on my 65.

BEFORE (Note: It was very difficult to try and capture the flaws in the paint. So, these might not show up if your viewing these pictures on your cell phone):

Just an overall shot. You can see the paint does look good in general.

Mark on the driver's side fender. You can see it in the reflection of the light.

Looked like there was a water mark in the rear spoiler from standing water that dried.

Another mark on the hatch/rear spoiler.

Mark on the driver's side door.

More marks on the rear spoiler. You can also see the reflection is very grainy. I almost decided to wet sand the spoiler and then buff it, but I'm not sure how much clear is on it and didn't want to risk busting through. So, I left it alone and just polished it.

I "may" remove the spoiler during the summer and just re-clear it, but then it will look brand new compared to the rest of the car. But, hey, at least it will have a smooth reflection LOL.

In this shot you can see how smooth the reflection is in the hatch compared to the spoiler. I'm not liking this, but can live with it......

Hmm. Looks like someone drove their Fox Body to work today. I have no idea who owns this LOL. Time to ask around.....

I love me a two tone reef GT. You should offer a paint correction for that guy. Door and quarter panel look different.

I think it's sun faded Brady. You can see the clear peeling in the roof. The blue on his front bumper, near the top of the corner marker lights, looks off as well.

A car like that though is kinda cool. I wouldn't be afraid to drive it anywhere. Like our convertible, far from perfect.

Yep, I agree with you 100%. I love my cars shiny and beautiful, but then I stress whenever I take them out. My wife laughs at me and says all I want to do is work on them and polish them, but never drive them.

I'm cool with taking my cars out on Sunday when traffic is low, but other times there are just too many idiots out on the roads.

Swapping out door handles. Original ones were faded. I'll still keep them and store them away.

Now the passenger window switch needs replacing I'm guessing. It goes up and down using the drivers switch, but nothing with the passenger side switch.

Well FML. Was attempting to adjust the passenger window with the new weatherstrip. What a nightmare. At this point, I don't even care how close the glass meets up with the weatherstrip. The windows are never completely up unless I wash the car. Which I've only done once since we bought it

In attempting in doing so, one of the glass stop bracket bolts snapped. It looks like they are pressed on. So I'll be going to the machine shop tomorrow and see if they can remove them and install new pressed bolts.
