I had to get a grip, so I picked up a Hurst Pistol grip. Painted the letters Mystichrome and put a few coats of Eastwood's clear coat for bare metal on it.

I bought a set of ARH longtubes from him. Turns out that he had put them on a belt sander and ruined the flanges. ARH quoted @500 for repairs. He admitted he did grind them down but said he wouldnt return my money or get them fixed because his money is tied up with his 1000rwhp car.

Hes banned but uses those names on other sites like NorcalSVTOA, Yellow bullet, Modular Fords.

you say hes on NorcalSVTOA, guessin he could be on cafords. also talks about his 1000 hp cobra. is this him?

Man, it seems I did everything this weekend LOL.

Got the car back from the body shop with my Cobra wing re-installed:

Then I replaced my broken and cracked cowl

AFTER:

Then I started my METCO pulley install

Cage on:

Cage off:

I got extremely luck as it literally took me 30 seconds to take the cage itself off. I had the car in 6th gear and hand brake on. I took my 3/4 inch breaker bar and inserted the 14MM hex tool. Once it was in the cage I put my jack handle on the the breaker bar. I pulled as hard as I could and it broke free. It was more of a pain in the _ _ _ when I did this to my vert.

Do you have to drain the cooling system or should I say remove the hose to do the lower pulley?

I don't think you need too. If you look at this write up you can see it was done with everything in place.

However, I think you should use beefy tools to get the amount of torque you need to get that thing to break loose. So, by removing the hose, fill tank and fan it makes the job easier to get too and put leverage on the breaker bar. Besides, nothing wrong with flushing and filling the system while you're at it (my anti-freeze looked a little on the dark side LOL).

having the whole metco set up, supercharger and accessory sides, would make me want to relocate the tanks so you could see how good the pulleys look. please be sure to post a pic once you have them all done. this is something i have been looking at doing
