The pass. Side carpet is soaked iv pulled the kick panel out and pulled the carpet back, then I sat I the car and had someone spray the car with a water hose I couldn't tell anything. I've seen water drip down the kick panel before. And with the car apart I noticed a little surface rust on around where the dash bolts up in that area

check you heater mustangs are known to leak out water from there

That happened to me on the drivers side. The dead pedal would get wet and the carpet as well when i washed the car. I always washed the car on the driveway and it is quite steep, so water was somehow making its way into the car. So i just wash it on level ground and the problem is gone
