Currently the car does not start since it is still stuck in the state of uploading a tune. My x3 is out of date. Not sure if my computer fried from the issue. The anti theft light is blinking along with fans turning on with key on and odometer not reading. Tuner is getting upgraded to x4. Now my question is will the new x4 fix the issue or will I need to source a new computer and get it flashed. Does anyone have experience re programming a computer and give me any advice on the equipment that is needed. My brother is mechanic and has some of the tools needed but not all ford specific.

Hmmmm. And you didn’t do the update to the handheld?
Prior to updating, you want to return to stock, then do the update, then load your tune back in.
If your tuner doesn’t have the latest firmware but you were only trying to load a tune into the car that was already on it, firmware being the latest version wouldn’t matter. Your car and handheld don’t even know a newer update exists.
