went offroading, now the speedo doesnt work

Like it says, I went offroading (nothing crazy just bumpy dirt paths) and when I got home I realized the speedometer didnt work. Is there a plug or something that could have been knocked loose or something? Is this a common problem? Any ideas/suggestions would be great.

Its a '95..in my sig.

could be the cable came loose off the tranny or could be a broken speedo sensor gear (the plastic ones you replace to fix the speedo).
