Well heads are off... What should i do now

Learned a lesson today, I Had a timing chain tensioner going out, so I had a friend that works on cars regularly tackle the job for me. I was busy at work and my list of stuff to get done was growing. So i had him work on it, Well he gets it all done, I head over to pick it up to find this.

I take it that's what is known as "piston-slap" with these trucks, right?

tensionor failed, I'm sure the chain jumped.

Piston slap is actually a noise that results from piston to bore clearance issues.

What you dont know is:

A. the rod is still straight.
B. The top ring gap is not closed up. (Pinched)

C. The valves are still straight.

Hard call, but If you can, I would pull it out and do it right. It is not so hard.
