Just wondering if anyone has had it done in this area and about how much it cost. I know Robert at R&J Welding is a long time welder, not sure if he's done these or not. Possibly a tube frame chassis or rollcage welder in the area?

Check with some of the local mustang shops, I'm sure they could point you in the right direction.
Looks like I'll be taking mine to R&J Welding in Apex. Robert is a master welder of 30 plus years. The price depends on what the center diff is made of. One takes about 5 $12 welding rods, the other is much less.
It can be done in the car. I believe the guy I'm going to have do mine here in the STL area is going to do it in the car when I get around to it.
He's doing mine in car.
