Weld RT-S Setup

Somebody fill me in on what exactly the right setup is for me.

From what I have learned, the new design with a medium pad height, the 15's will fit over our brakes. But the tie rod and knuckle are still in the way. And with 15x10s, the banjo bolt and our brake lines get in the way.

So if 15x8s fit with just a little grinding, do 15x9's fit with just grinding?

I'm wanting to run a 26x10.5x15 bias ply slick in a 9 inch wide wheel preferably as it will help over a 8 in giving me more wheel in the tire.

Has anyone ran a 15x9 and 8? Are the grinding the same? And are the banjo bolt and brake line out of question in regards to fitment of the two?

Just making sure a 15x9 RT-S will not give me any more problems than the 8 inch wide wheel.

Thanks SVTP,

Trevor

Im running the 15x9.33 rts wheels and I ran 15x8 racestars before the rts wheels, when I installed the rts wheels I didn't have to do anymore grinding.

Any pics,?

I'm pretty sure 15x8 race stars take more grinding than 15x8 weld rts wheels do but thank you for your reply. More clearance with the RTS? Brake line not in the way? Banjo bolt is stock?

You can also get the deluxe bump steer kit from ftbr which from what I hear requires zero grinding of the knuckle .

I noticed that American Muscle is now showing the Weld RT-S in the 15 x 10.33 fitting "all 94-04 mustangs" Someone asked if that included the IRS Cobra and someone replied back with yes.

Damn that looks good. Does it seem like you have more clearance with the RTS vs the racestar wheels? Any pics of the grinding?

ill take a picture of how much clearance there is and post a little later today

Thank you.

So you're saying the amount of grinding for me (stock toe links) would be the same with an 8 vs a 9 inch wide wheel?

Yes It will be the same just went out a took a few pics they kind of suck but you can kind of tell how much clearance there is

When I bought mine summit didn't have them in stock so I ordered from weld racing and it took 4 weeks for them to make the wheels.
