Simple question, I assume. I'm just not finding definitive info... maybe my google-fu sucks today. I'm going to replace the roof rail weatherstripping on my '99 coupe this weekend. Most things I'm reading sound like adhesive is not necessary, but at least one comment about the weatherstripping on latemodelrestoration.com mentions using adhesive.

All of the how-to info I'm finding is for fox bodies and older mustangs.

Do I need adhesive or do I just pull the old weatherstripping out and pop the new ones into place? Any gotchas I should be on the lookout for to avoid tearing, misaligning, etc?

I replaced the strip around the driver side window. It was just held on by a groove and little plastic push pins. No adhesive needed.

Awesome, that's what it looked like. I just didn't want to get the old weatherstrip out and then find out that I was wrong... or get the new one in and find out I was wrong in a week when it rains.
