Hey there guys. within the next month or so i will be giving the smurf a wax treatment and would like to know which wax you guys in the world of detailing would recommend.

At the moment im using mother's carnauba wax and while its done the job, i feel there is something better out there on the market to better bring out the color of the car.

it has possibly been written in another thread somewhere deep within the vaults of SVTP but heres the question:

which wax do you guys recommend to bring out the most solid, deepest blue possible out of the paint?

well first off id like to say you picked the best colour there is ( i am a little bias tho). for my car i use all of adams products i like to give a good wash clay if need paint correction then use the paint correction products after that some brillant glaze and americana wax just did that to mine and had good results.

Are you concerned with mainly appearance or longevity too? Keep in mind your prep before wax is as important if not more than the actual LSP. Chemical Guy's Pete's 53 and P21S's 100% carnauba are a couple of waxes that I've enjoyed working with.

Real easy I do my by hand in thin layers do atleast two and wipes off nicely as long as u don't let it set too long. As for how long it last depends on if it's outside how often u wash it and so on.

I used the Son1cWax Merry Waxmas on mine because it seems to work extremely well on any shade of blue. That's the two part wax that was offered around Christmas time, but I believe Autogeek still has some in stock. If you're looking for something more recent, the undeniable glow from Son1cWax Phoenix is awesome too.
With Son1cwax you're not only buying a quality product, you're supporting a forum member.

Here is my car last weekend sporting the Merry Waxmas

I don't have experience with Grabber Blue, but I second efroeh's recommendations.

I have used Son1c Wax Carnaubavore the last two waxes and love it ! Really makes my vista blue pop. The best part is it's made by a fellow car enthusiast, gotta love supporting the little guy

Victoria Red is show car type wax that will last about 3 months. Leaves it glossy/wet appearance.
