Posting this for a friend, she has a problem with a 2003 Lincoln, dealer said both heads are warped and wants $8800.. (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). Is there a inherent / known issue with the heads? Is that the same motor as a 2003 2V Mustang? Thanks.....

Known issues would be running the engine low on coolant and overheating!
for 8800 you tell your friend to sell the old car and find a new one
Get a running lower mile 4.6 pullout motor from a junkyard, should be 1000-1500.
FWIW, the machine shop I worked had a contract with the PD and saw a lot of Crown Vic motors come in...common problems with those motors include galled camshaft bearings, broken timing chains, and on occasion warped heads.
