Does your terminator take a very long time to warm up, like about 5 minutes before the temp gauge reads normal even in 70deg weather? Seems my previous cars were much faster. A product of the cast iron block or do I have a thermostat problem?

i have noticed that my gauge doesn't start moving till its hit about 145 degrees.

full temp for my car is 194 so the gauge is pretty much useless.

For the first start of the day I turn the heater on and wait for warm/hot air. That way I know for sure the block is warmed up. The stupid gauge takes much longer to register.

I had a 1965 mustang and i always had to let that thing warm up for like atleast 5 min. So without thinking i still let the 03 take some time to warm up.

Thanks for the verification.
Btw, the best way to warm up the car is to drive it pretty much right away but just stay out of the gas until those pistons are nice and round.
