I am trying to find out where I could purchase a handful of the SVT buttons for the stock Lightning wheels. I don't need the whole cap, just the buttons.
I have started a project whereby I'm changing the background color from black to red. So far, I've finished one and it turned out great. The bad news is that the buttons are glued to the factory cap really well and I have fractured the second one trying to pry it out. I grabbed a third one and when it finally broke loose, the glue pulled the chrome SVT logo completely out of the button.
I now have one wheel done, three left to do, and one good button left.
Ford does not sell just the button.....you have to buy the whole cap ($18.00) and the button will come already glued to it. Therefore, I'm going to have to find the manufacturer who makes these damn things or have some custom manufactured. The diameter of the button is 2 3/8 in. Does anyone here know where these can be purchased?
