Want to go from 3.55 to 3.73

So I have an 00 L and my rear end is stock, I found an L for parts and he still has his 3.73 gears from an 01 L. Can I just remove mine and put in the 3.73 just like that? Would I also need to buy the driveshaft since its longer? Looked everywhere in the forums and couldnt find anything

The ds isn't longer.

If you're swapping rear ends you will have an issue with the newer rear end having larger lugs.

The small gains really aren't with the work.
