Okay guys. I am a certified nutritionist and work for a rapidly growing company here (started in Saint Louis). We do things much differently than GNC, or any other nutrition store. We only carry mostly high quality stuff( we do carry the popular stuff but we also advise on quality of proteins and their effects).

How we work, is we are all certified and we write diets and workout regimens for anyone for free. We also are very generous with sampling our products for people to try( mainly pre- workouts) before they buy them.

We are also a wholesaler, so i cant give out prices over the internet but its possible in PM.

What I am wondering is how big the response would be for guys on here to get free diets and supplement advice. Since we are based out of Saint Louis, obviously if you guys wanted a stack I would be more than happy to ship it to you. However I know this crosses lines with advertisement and such, so I wasnt sure how to approach it. Could i get permission since it is helping out the SVTP community? I know there is a huge workout following here....but i sigh because many times bad or outright WRONG advice is given simply because " it worked for my buddy" or (insert other crap line here___)

I would gain nothing personal from this since we do not work from commission. However the store would obviously benefit. In the grand scheme i just love what I do and love helping people. The biggest benefit i could gain from this would see an large response of positive from people getting results!

As of right now, Supplement superstores is only In STL, but we are rapidly growing and it will not be long before we are all over. We have gone from 2-9 stores in under 2 years. We carry a BRAND new brand ( not exclusive to us but the first of its kind) to manufacture a VERY high quality protein and a thermogenic stack that people are swarming the stores for called the 1-DB overdrive. The product line is called "1st Phorm". Look up the reviews it is getting already. Post workout stacks, sustained assimilation proteins and thermogenics/multi- vitamins.

Anyways...if I am allowed i can post pictures of all our lines, with explanations and a general diet and nutrition plan in GREAT detail ( why certain things work, and why others do not...and why you do not get the gains you want!)....

Again...Supplement superstores is looking to change the name of the supplement industry. No spending money on something you "hope works" and being mad you spent 200 on supplements only to get minimal gains and advice.

If i get the go ahead from the moderators on here i will start a new thread.

Who would be the decision maker on this? Maybe a royalty given to SVTP for a thank you?

thanks and i await the yay or nay.

while our pricing beats most anyone in the area, our biggest customer service is simply how we treat people. All of us are in shape, very educated in the field and we go the extra mile to make sure the consumer knows HOW to use the product and WHAT it is doing. The "bigger picture" to help them achive the goals they are looking for. Our store i work at is one of the smallest in the saint louis area out of the whole company..but we have a huge reputation. We have huge local radio adds, and pretty much everyone is coming in saying" wow....you guys arent GNC workers thats for sure!".

It would be like going into a guitar shop...and having someone explain everything about music and tuning and reading music to you...NOT just selling you the cheapest guitar on sale.

what brand is it?

The biggest thing you want to look for in any protein is production process. Was it Ion exchanged? or cross micro-filtered? High or low temperature processed? Those are all important things to look for.

Rule of thumb when buying protien is usually = the bigger the jug and cheaper the price, the more denatured and degraded source you are getting.

ON and BSN and muscle milk have done GREAT for themselves, we actually carry their products. However, they do not usually produce great lean gains.
Most guys see it because so and so used it on BBing.com....and they dont get that genetics, diet and effort in the gym have alot to do with why that person looks the way they do. Not so much the popular brand of powder they use. pm me if you have any questions.

For the most part, leaning out is keeping your metabolism up and your workouts INTENSE. eat three- 4 whole food meals if possible, carbs fats and proteins all together for the first 3 meals. cut the carbs back a bit, and raise the fats if you arent getting enough calories burned. inbetween meals do a sustained assimilation shake with 10-12 almonds for fats and if early in the day, a half apple pre workout.

advice is good. You charge/sell things with posters on here then you'll run into problems and it'll end.

Don't recommend stuff only sold at your store.

gotcha. I guess i should clairify. It isnt sold ONLY at our store, in saint louis it is ....but 1st phorm is new to the supplement world, and is being sold in the south and east coast as we speak to other nutrition stores. Its top notch, and is not our "house brand" we are just the "first to carry it" if that makes any sense....

is there any way to get permission to put up information about products but not sell them directly on the site? and if so work out something to pay SVTP ownership a royalty? sort of like lethal performance and the like?

right. what are the steps to that? I have already talked to the owner and if i can get a large enough response from here, he would be willing to put up some financial compensation.

I assume you'll need to PM Travis (SID297) about becoming a supporting vendor.

Are you implying that ON's protein products are subpar?

I will agree that BSN is as it's name implies, BS. And muscle milk is loaded with fats and carbs.

But ON's gold standard has always been regarded as one of the best proteins available and is carried at most reputable stores. I havent tried their Platinum whey as I havent ran out of my 5lb jug yet, but will soon.

In fact aside from SynthePURE, I can't think of another protein I'd ingest over ON.

So please spread some light on this subject.

I've been using the platinum now for a while. Seems like pretty good stuff to me.

OP will have a tough time beating bodybuilding.com's prices and info.

Seem you would be much better sponsering the "I'm a fat ass forums" I kid, I kid! Seems the best you could do here is asking permission to have a link in your sig. Things like this get around on the forum and people eventually learn to go to certain members for advice through word of mouth.

Either way, good luck with your ambitions! I personally stick with eating things that do not have words in the ingredients that I do not understand. Problem is I eat too much, but recently lost 16lbs by switching things up along with portion control.

alright ...big breath!

Well to start no I am not implying that Ons gold standard is "sub par". What i am suggesting is that there are even BETTER alternatives. Sure it costs more but let me put it to you like this. Something is "popular" based upon what and how many people use it correct? So if that were true.... would you say that most people drive Mustang v6s, and Gts? or most people spend the money on a shelby? I know this is a dumbed down analogy...but my point is you can spend a little more money for less powder yes, but your results and quality are simply better. There is a reason you can buy a 5lb tub of ON gold standard for 40 bucks. Super Pro, Iso Blast VP2 and First Phorm products are all made in an FDA inspected facility. No, this is not FDA approved...however whatever is put on the label of these products has to hold true. BSN, ON and many of the other giants in the industry simply do not have this. In fact, they dont have anything other than "ion exchanged" on the processing.

Now, lets break down ON a bit. They are a company started in 1998 first called Costello’s. The whole bit was to make as much product as possible as cheaply as possible. Now they are in conjunction with BBing. com and in return they pay for the server charges of BBing.com for all the advertisement they get. Its simple marketing. Again, its not an " inferior product" however when you want the HIGHEST quality of an absorption of protein you must dive into how it is made. ON is ion exchanged. Research the process of this method. It is a high temperature process, that charges the powder, and you lose a ton of aminos, nutrients and other essentials from the whey. When you want a quality protein...it is best to be cross micro filtered. Period. Some brands do this, but not many because it is cost effective.

The BIGGEST misconception in building mass in general, is a post workout shake. So many myths are out there ( remember the old waxy maize thing? ha!)
The trick is this. If you want to use ON simply because you like it, or its more affordable go for it. Just realize it is simply not the cream of the crop of proteins. a cross micro filtered protein is more bio available to the body, thus giving the body what it needs. If you do one thing, add a dextrose or monosaccharide sugar( not table sugar, it takes too long to digest) to your post workout shake. your body MUST have the glycogen supply restored BEFORE it will go building muscle! And that is not just drinking a gatorade. Add this to your shake. Carbs are one thing that you must have to gain size, not just isolate proteins.

So....Are you sure ONs products are the best based upon number of units sold? popularity? because it is what is recommended on BBing.com? Or because you are 100 percent sure of the level of processed protein you are getting and how it is utilized in the body?

however, again it comes down to processing. The best way to look at this is how does your body utilize what it is given? If it is given MORE than the standard....it will grow more than the standard.

If i can say anything to sum this up, it is that just because something is popular...does not mean it is actually the "best". Its a marketing trick done right. I will tell you this, the customers that come into the store that we sample more quality proteins come back and never buy ON again. That simple. They see the gains, and they use what works.

Now i know professional guys are roiding, spend hours in the gym etc etc. But to be honest with you, i will tell you not many of them actually use the huge 5 lb jugs of mass produced stuff. If they do, they get quality nutrition as well from their Food during the day. 4-6 meals of fish, aminos, veggies etc etc etc. And lets face it, a lot of guys cant do that...and would benefit more from a better quality shake.

everything seems great until you upgrade. That 2.2 kb is awesome, then you ride in a 2.8 or turbo car right

No, if you are happy with it man by all means. But let me ask you....have you reached every goal you have? have you pushed beyond what you have ever wanted in the gym? with your shirt off?

and as far as the prices idk man. We are also a whole saler, and business has been good.

I have already been authorized a 10 percent discount for svt members that we usually only give to military/fire/police.

As far as that goes, i am still awaiting a reply for the green light to talk about products. All i can say, is if you guys want a free diet, email or advice on anything, i will give out my number in PM as well. From there, if you guys want samples and all that....we can arrange it.

A link in my sig is a great idea!
