This is where I get lost, from what I understand, the WBO2 doesn't "look for" an afr, it simply sees a lambda value... Do I have that wrong?

You must define what lambda is by setting the stoich value in the tune for each fuel.

Looking for a lambda of 0.78 when 1.00=wrong is going to be wrong. STFT will not correct for this error in the tune because it will believe that you want the 10.99afr (14.08*0.78) which is lean for ms109.

lamba = stoich value

0.78 * stoich value is what you are commanding in the tune.

Lambda is just a tool that allows you to use the same fueling while changing fuels as long as you define the stoich which is what lambda 1.00 equals.
