my V-2 is starting to make a really loud gear whine sound (not the reg vortech whistle) and ive heard that this means its about to die. however, the blower only has about 12-14k at most on it and never had bigger than a 3.33 pulley and that was with an aftercooler on it. it is a prototype from a Saleen cobra that was first vortech supercharged 99 cobra... so its over 4 years old. just has no miles on it. could it really be going out already? if it has to be sent off to be fixed ill just say screw it and have it upgraded to a T trim. need some help guys....

a popssibilty is that have a bearing problem, probably you have some flat spots on the bearings. My reasoning is that if the car sits alot and you keep the blower belt on, then you always have pressure on your bearing. We have a 02 harley Truck in the shop right now with the same problem . It has been sitting for about 9 months or so and has only been moved a few times on the lot. Well its sold now and the blower its making a lot of noise, and virtually no miles on it.
