Tomorow I am installing a new alternator. My question is should I replace the voltage regulator aswell? Would they have failed together?

Isn't it installed on the back of the alternator. That's what I thought. But, maybe it doesn't come as part of a new assembly, and you have to buy it extra.
Ya i'm 99.99% sure its internal and part of the alternator. So no need to worry about it

Thanks guys, thats what I thought aswell, but while running a search on the topic, ran into some stuff about it and was unclear weather the guy was talking about the rebuild of the existing alternator or replacement of associated equiptment.

The VR is bolted to the back of the alternator.
The VR comes with the replacement alternator.
The VR comes with the replacement alternator.
