My brother owns a 2014 GT with an automatic transmission. A few weeks ago he ran the car at Orlando Speedworld on a funday sunday event. He was hoping the car would run better times, specifically a higher trap speed. He had asked me to post on here what you guys think about his passes.

Mods:
VMP tune
JLT CAI
GT500 mufflers

Temperature was in the mid to high 60s. Very nice weather that day.

1st pass (fresh out of the street with no cool down):

60'.....1.866
330....5.416
1/8.....8.208
MPH....88.57
1000...10.601
1/4.....12.613
MPH....112.38

2nd pass:

60'......2.028
330.....5.445
1/8.....8.203
MPH....89.48
1000...10.575
1/4.....12.572
MPH....113.10

3rd pass:

60'.......2.039
330......5.436
1/8.......8.180
MPH......89.81
1000.... 10.564
1/4.......12.542
MPH......113.05

He knows that his 60ft needs to improve, other wise how well do you guys think his car is running for the mods he has done?

Any suggestions/input is appreciated!

Is he spinning off the line? It's a high 11 sec car with a 1.6 60ft. 60's can be improved from an assortment of ways, start with tires, lca's, converter. I'd also datalog the tune, communicate with VMP, make sure you are getting the most out of your tune., I'd expect a few more mph with your mods, but not bad. More practice will help, it's all about the 60ft.

He got a 1.8 60' on one of those attempts. I doubt it will get much better than that on a stock stall without nitrous or a power adder. Trap seems ok to me too. Much more is expecting a lot out of a cai/tune only car.

seems about right to me if he is on stock wheels. a 1.8 60 ft is a good time with a basic setup. but he basically is stock with an intake and a tune. you can add more power or improve the launch

^I gained 6rwhp and 0 tq when I switched from hi flow cats to off road x pipe, custom dyno tuned. My Boss was a lot louder and smelled terrible.
