Hey guys been a good while since Ive been on here. Im stationed in Yokosuka Japan now, it's a whole different scene here. Anyways I couldn't ship the Boss here so its currently sitting at home just thought Id give you have updates on it and post some pics since I supercharged it before I left. VMP 2.3 L supercharger Stage 3 everything else stock. So now the question starts where do I go from here. I was thinking of getting 3.31 gears next because the 3.73 with the S/C is to much go. I get loose at 60 no problem. I know tires would help but I also feel like Im not utilizing my power in the lower gears. 1st and 2nd barely 3rd exist from a dig. Also 2nd is to much at a hard roll.

1.Other than gears what else could be a beneficial mod.
2.Has anyone made headers for the Boss the still keep with side exhaust.
3.What street drag radials are out there for our wheels, or do I need new smaller wheels.
4.Big question is my clutch will stick a little now if really go hard what clutch is a good upgrade.
5.Magnum XL vs T56, Leaning on Magnum XL.
6.Stock Cams or upgrade Ive heard it doesn't change much.
7.How about my internals I feel stock won't hold up long.

I have some more questions rattling around in this head Ill ask as the thread goes on. Anyways enjoy the pics and I can't wait to come home.

IMO sticky tires, clutch, driveshaft and gears.... Then drive the heck out of it. Chasing more power might be a moot point IMO as it won't be usable on the street.

Sweet Ride! What kind of #'s is that thing putting out?

I have no dyno to prove it. Only because I'm in Japan and the car is home. But it's suppose to be around 700 according to VMP.

Thanks for the insight.

OP on the trans issue, try out the Blowfish bracket found at CJPP, if you don't like it and still want the Tremec then I am sure someone will buy it off you.

That's too bad you couldn't take it to Japan, you would have been like Godzilla in that thing! I'm guessing you are Navy? What field are you in? I'm Navy dental corps and have a buddy or two in your neck of the woods, both medical.

Id lean to Magnum with a McLeod twin disk and you will be good to go. If the oil pump gears were replaced, that motor will hold up fine at that level with a solid tune. Id skip any bracket and just go with MGW and don't look back.

I have a brand new replacement trans and an MGW shifter. It still shifts like junk. I have the Blowfish bracket on order. I expect that will fix all my trans related issues.

The bracket would probably fix your issues unless you have trans damage, but that's a no brainer.

Look at the ACT clutch. I'm generally a McLeod fan and run one in my GT500. But, in our Boss we had fitment/setup issues that wouldn't go away. Went to ACT and life was good. Soft pedal, good grab. We have it on the website under your section.
