VMP Heat Exchanger vs. Custom Grille

Ready to jump on the VMP heat exchanger and 3X reservoir deal this weekend, but have a question for those who have already upgraded their heat exchangers...

Is the added thickness of the new heat exchanger toward the front of the vehicle, or toward the rear?

I have a custom lower grille with fog lights molded into the grille, and the bulb sockets come within a half-inch of the factory heat exchanger. I don't have much room to extend forward. If the majority of the added thickness is on the back side, I may be ok.

Please let me know...as this Arizona heat is definitely taking its toll on my performance!

I did this install not too long ago. Since it's mounted on the existing hardware with no customization of said hardware required it definitely goes toward the rear of the car.

I hear you on the heat since I'm in Vegas. Several of us made comments and posted pictures on this install. Check it out if you need to.
