Just curious... what visually differentiates a Terminator from the 99-02 Cobras?

the front bumper....round fog lights. the hood with the hood vents......rear spoiler.....just those should tell you its a cobra

^^^ +1 on the huge oval fog lights.. easiest way to tell. but once you become a fan of the 03/04 you will realize front bumper, hood, side skirts, rims, tire size, bumper, spoiler. ect.
if its passing you, its probably an 03/04!

Don't forget color keyed side mirrors, different side scoops and full red colored tail lights. Also the boost gauge in the instrument cluster in place of the voltage gauge.
2002 Cobras were the best ones. Almost as fast as the 2003 Camaro.
1999 SVT Badges, says Mustang on bumper.
2001 SVT Badges, rear now says Cobra. Still same style bumper.
2003-2004 Different bumper and spoiler.
2000 Cobra "R" is obvious, but you probably won't see these often. I've only seen one in person and it was at a car show.
And there is no 2002.
The 99/01s are easy to tell from 03-04s. I can really only tell quickly from the bumper the difference from a 99 or 01. 03s and 04s are identical. They offered some different colors between the various years as well. Like you won't see a Sonic Blue 04, but you may see a oxford white 03 or 04.

Easiest way to tell whether it's an 03 or 04 is to look at the key holes on the driver side. 03 is black, 04 is silver. Same with factory antennas, 03 is black, 04 is silver.
Easy trick to use if you forget which colors are which year.
And technically there are 02's, Australian cars, if you see one of these you will definitely know. 2 extra driving lights in the front bumper.
Thats good info. Yea never noticed that with the key holes. As far as the factory antennas. Man that was the first thing I got rid of. Figures the Australians would have an 02. They also have Summer in the winter.
