VIN Question

I was just checking my VIN number out to see if my build number showed up on that, and saw that it doesn't. If I have number 539, should that number be on my VIN? Not sure how Ford did it. Thanks!

Some of the cars had a Vin# close to the build number, most of them don't match. The last 5 digits on the cars Vin# is the order it came off the assembly line.

if your car is # 539 then it should be red with black cloth seats, and the last six of the vin # should be 136738
