Viera Cast getting Netflix

So I was reading that Panasonic's new 2010 VieraCast enabled products will now have Netflix streaming on them. Does anyone know if 2009 VieraCast products will have netflix as well? I just got a Panasonic blu-ray player at the end of 2009 and would like to have netflix on it.

Not sure if this applies to blu-ray players but:

Unfortunately for owners of 2008 and 2009 VieraCast TVs, Netflix and Skype will not be added to their televisions.

That's lame if they do that. I buy XBOX subscriptions for the sole purpose of streaming netflix to the tele. I was hoping I could finally do it for free with either my TV or player. I think I'm going to start looking for a netflix ready device that streams for free.
