well long story short i put my car back to complete stock format due to a california state ref appointment i have march 1st, i installed the stock exhaust, removed the KB BAP that was on it, is was landed on the green/yellow wire, hooked up original wire with a butt connector, pressure washed it, went around the block idled for about a good 5 mins in my drive way then suddenly shut off and would never start again. I do have fuel in my fuel lines had my chick turn the key to on while i pushed the shrader valve in on the fuel rail, fuel came gushing out..oddly enough the fuel pump prime sound its making is not the same. the sound sort of fluctuates pitch if you will...mind you it also has a n2mb wotbox that seems to be functioning normal. there is also a wierd sound coming from either the PCM or the wotbox. Do you guys think maybe this is all due to the FPDM being hooked up with a butt connector or some sort of short due to pressure washing im totally lost here....its one thing after another:(

Did you do anything with the front O2 sensors? Kind of a stretch to somehow switch the harness bank to bank with engine and trans in place but it’ll cause it die when it hits open loop and won’t review until it cools down

I've noticed a lot of issues with CA and that State BAR Referee. Is this the reason why so many people want to buy stock Terminators? I just think it's crazy that CA would make a person who bought a 17-18 year old car put it back to stock since it's going to be very difficult to find stock parts.

What do guys do if they can't find the parts or bring the car back to stock? Do you have to sell the car? Is there an exemption process?

Check everything electrical that you touched, especially with the BAP. If they're making funny noises especially check grounds. A bad ground can make some odd buzzing or fluttering noises in some components.

yup thats kind of what im hearing like fluttering with buzzing. Going to trouble shoot some more in a bit, i almost feel like the butt connector may have caused enough resistance to the FPDM maybe damaged it at this point .

1.) they don’t care they are communist retards
2.) selling it transfers the headache to the next owner IF you can even transfer the car.
3.)no process for exemption just bend over and let California’s government show what it means to be “green”

what did you pressure wash - the engine bay? If so Id give it time to dry out as well. If you pressure washed the exterior of the car I dont see that contributing

no i washed under the rear to clean up the exhaust, wierd thing is it ran for a good 10 min then suddenly just died, so i have been troubleshooting and i found my odometer had multiple dashes no mileage and also theft light blinking continuesly i did a bunch of searches alot of people have narrowed it down to either ther CCRM or the PCM. Im going to replace the CCRM tomorrow see what happens..

Theft light blinking rapidly is not a good sign at all. Had that happen on my 98 and it was the PCM.

Is there a code to the flashing at all? (2 flashes, pause then 5 flashes for example)

no sir its contiously blinking, im hoping its due to the CCRM not feeding the PCM 12 volts or anything else for that matter correct voltage or any at all. Mind you this car has a history of leaning out cylinders and some wiring issues with the previous owner. Bought myself a can or worms apparently. Im just going to go ahead replace the CCRM, FPDM, FRPS, and even the fuel pump. Get fresh start hopefully. I just hope the PCM is ok.

You don't HAVE to put it back to stock but your mods need to be smog legal I.E. have a CARB number.
