Any of you have 'issues' with your top 'sagging'? I washed my car this past weekend and noticed that the top is sagging. It's sagging enough where the water just puddles between some of the roof 'supports'. It never used to do this. It has always been a pretty 'tight' fitting top.

If you've had this 'issue', can ford just pull the top tighter?

Thanks!

Yea... I've applied the treatment to my top at least a couple time a year. (Ragtopp) The water still beads when it comes in contact with the top.

My issue is with the tightness of the top. It appears to have lost it's tigness.

I posted a similar thread about a year ago on this site. My top is sagging around the rear glass.

Those that responded said the dealer took care of it. So I brought mine back to Ford to complain and they told me "that's just the way Ford makes them...there's nothing we can do.":bash:

I remember reading that post. I tried searching for it but the search function still isn't working (at least for me anyway).

I basically wanted to check to see if 1)Others experienced this and 2) how did ford fix it.

I personally will not take "No we can't fix it" for an answer. It's very obvious that it's sagging. I know that it wasn't like this before.

If anybody's had this fixed, please chime in...

Once I get a chance to take her in, I'll keep you all posted.

:coolman: After 15 months and 7,000 miles, I see no sign of sagging in mine. As I recall from that earlier posting on this subject, when the car was taken back to the dealer, they outsourced the fix to a upholstery specialist. The post stated that they did an excellent job.

Mine is sagging and my dealer said they will adjust it. The top needs to be adjusted once a year or so. Take it to another dealer or call SVT. I am taking mine Wed to be adjusted as a matter of fact.

stangfan, take it to team. They do a good job taking care of us. I think they fixed Richo's top.

Yep. I'm going to drop it off sometime this week. It's just hard to give it up for a day or two with this perfect vert weather we've been having.

So far, everything is cool with mine. But if that ever happens, rest assured, it will go to the dealership for diagnosis/replacement.

I also had the top tightened under warranty, subbed out to an upholstery shop. The shop told me that they are poorly done at the factory, the fabric marks were out by 3/4 of an inch. All is good now. The top should be tight between the ribs.
