Valet totalled my Boss

A valet at a local casino totaled my Boss recently. It was very sad. Luckily, they were courteous enough to buy me a new one.

What was all damaged? I am in the field of auto repair, unless there is damage to the motor, I cant see that totaling out. Just curious.

I agree with you LX1. It doesn't appear totaled to me either. The casinos insurance rep says damages were about 25k. The engine was moved back and the radiator was smashed into the engine. I assume there was engine damage.

I think this is one where they payed to make this go away. Sometimes when I get a car with decent damages in, its better to get rid of it or you will marry that thing for life. At 25k he had to get a decent salvage bid and document all misc charges to total that thing.

According to the manager. He "lost control" which is obvious but is all I could get out of him. I think they totaled it on purpose because I would have been very upset and likely to bring on a lawsuit if they didn't get me in a new one. All that being said and done, they have been very helpful and responsive to this entire process. Two days after the incident I was sitting in a brand new car.
